U11B Hockey v Oakham and Stamford Schools

The girls did not let the rain put them off in their efforts against both Oakham School and Stamford School on Wednesday afternoon.  It was their final hockey matches of the year and a great end to the season.  Despite not winning the matches the girls held their positions well and gave their all in both matches.

The first match against Stamford was an unfortunate 4-0 defeat, but as the game went on Copthill found their feet and put up a strong line of defence.

In the match against Oakham the ball was end to end and the girls passed the ball around using better space and width.  Hannah Teesdale scored a fantastic goal from a great angle in the match against Oakham to bring the final score to a 2-1 defeat.

Well done Girls - a great team effort from all of you.

Mrs Harriss
