U11A Hockey v Oakham Wednesday 18th November 2015

The girls played their toughest match of the season against Oakham this week.  The match required all the girls to pull together.  Lea Chauhan played exceptionally well in goal and she did very well to block and defend a number of high, hard shots at the goal.  Lea put up a bold performance as the schools Goalkeeper in very pressurised situations.  Defence was also strengthened by Ags Pennell who worked hard to regain possession of the ball each time Oakham advanced.  With careful stick work Ags was successful in tackling and maneuvering the ball away from the opposition.  Ags was awarded Player of the Match for her performance.  The final score was a very creditable 3-3 draw.  A fantastic performance from the whole team in a match that was challenging and competitive.
