U9 TAG Rugby v St Hugh's - Wednesday 18th November 2015
U9s Vs St Hughs
With a record number of fixtures going on simultaneously the Headmaster had the privilege of taking this team for their home match against St Hughs. The weather can only be described as atrocious - wind, rain and cold. However I was really impressed with all the boys. They were enthusiastic and kept going for the full 30 minutes despite the terrible conditions. They all had opportunities to make impressive runs, particularly Calum, Henry, Raife, Alec, William and Raj. Some went round the opposition and some through them! St Hughs had some very strong runners and they proved too quick for Copthill to always collect a tag. However there was some great defending too from Rohan, Oliver, Stuart and Lawrence. Having seen them all play earlier in the season I can see huge progress which is how we learn and develop our game. No Man of the Match because you all played as a real team. Well played all of you!
