U11 Football v Ayscoughfee (a) on Wednesday 27th January 2016
Copthill took an U11 football team to play Grantham Prep on Wednesday 27th January.
The match was very closely fought and could of gone either way. It was played in 4 quarters of 10 minutes rather than 20 each half. This gave the coaches more time to talk with their players.
The first 2 quarters finished 0-0 and chances we few and far between. The 3rd quarter saw Grantham Prep take the lead after a fortunate bounce deceived William Taylor in the Copthill goal! Copthill were well on top in the final quarter and they were pushing hard for an equaliser, however they could just not find a breakthrough. I think the longer the match went on, the better chances Copthill had if an equaliser as they ended the game much the better team.
Well done to all the boys who took part in the match. They should be proud of their efforts.
