U8 Football 5 a-side indoor tournament at Bedford Modern
Copthill U8s took part in an indoor 5 a-side football competition at Bedford Modern School on Friday 29th January.
There were 6 teams in the tournament altogether and there was some great football on show, with some excellent individuals players.
Copthill ended up coming 2nd and did not lose a match! They played excellent throughout the afternoon and were by far the better team in the competition. The only reason for not coming first was because of their lack of goals, they just couldn't score! They drew 3 games 0-0, were winning 2-0 against the eventual winners and ended up letting in 2 very soft goals, again to draw 2-2! They won their final game convincingly!
Very well done to all the boys who took part, they played brilliantly as a team and were very unlucky not to win the competition. They are a promising bunch of boys with good sporting talent and with better shooting on the day, could've began their sporting journey at Copthill with a winners medal!
